Golden Isles Flooring installs flooring and cabinetry across Brunswick and the Golden Isles. We have worked on this coast for over 50 years, on the barrier islands and the mainland alike. The crew that measures your property is the crew that completes the installation.
We are a service area business rather than a showroom, which means we come to you. There is no premises to visit and no showroom overhead loaded into what you pay. Samples come to your rooms, where the light is the light you actually live with.
Everything we do is installation work rather than repair or refinishing of existing floors. That scope is deliberate and we state it plainly instead of quoting for work we do not do. Subfloor preparation is included, because leveling and refastening are part of installing.
What genuinely distinguishes coastal work is that the failures are slow and entirely predictable. A floor installed wrongly here looks perfect for a season and then moves considerably. Almost everything we do differently exists to prevent that second year outcome.

Our process is not complicated and very little of it is unusual in the trade. What is unusual is doing all of it on every project rather than when the schedule allows. Each step below exists because skipping it produces a specific and familiar failure.
We Measure Before We Price
Nothing gets quoted from a room count or a phone conversation about square footage. We attend the property, measure every room, and assess whatever sits beneath the existing floor. That visit is genuinely free and it carries no obligation whatsoever afterward.
On an elevated property we go into the crawl space rather than estimating its condition. On a mainland slab we test concrete moisture and read the actual result. Those readings determine the specification considerably more reliably than any preference does.
One Written Figure
You receive a single written price covering material, labor, subfloor preparation, and disposal. Nothing is itemized separately later and no mileage line appears for island or rural addresses. Causeway travel is inside the figure rather than added onto it afterward.
That number holds through completion unless demolition exposes structural damage nobody could have seen. When that happens we stop, show you the problem, and explain what correcting it involves. Concealed subfloor deterioration is the one genuine exception, and it remains uncommon.
We Never Subcontract
The people who measure your property are the people who install your floor. Subcontracted labor is where most flooring complaints originate across this entire trade. Once payment clears, nobody in that chain has any remaining reason to care.
It also matters for the specification rather than only for the workmanship itself. A crew unfamiliar with elevated construction misses indications that an experienced one reads immediately. Continuity between the measure and the installation is what prevents that gap.
What We Install and What We Do Not
Being explicit about scope saves everybody time, including the inquiries we cannot help with. We install flooring and cabinetry, and we do not repair or refinish existing floors. That boundary is genuine rather than a way of steering you toward a larger job.
Flooring Installation
Nine services covering luxury vinyl plank, porcelain and stone tile, engineered wood, and solid hardwood. We also install carpet and laminate across residential and commercial properties throughout the region.
Stairs and Cabinetry
Stair installation covers treads, risers, returns, and landings, quoted per step rather than by area. Cabinet installation covers kitchens and bathrooms, leveled and scribed against walls that are rarely plumb. We install cabinetry rather than manufacturing, designing, or supplying it ourselves.
Not Repairs or Refinishing
We do not sand, stain, or recoat existing floors, and we do not take standalone repair work. Where refinishing is genuinely better value than replacement we will say so directly. That advice costs us the job and it remains the correct advice to give.
Subfloor Preparation Is Included
Leveling, refastening loose decking, and replacing bad panels are all part of installing a floor. That work appears in the written figure rather than arriving as a variation later. We assess what is needed during the measure rather than during demolition.
Honest Specification
We regularly recommend a cheaper material than the one an owner arrived expecting. Solid hardwood on a ground floor that floods is the most common example by far. Losing the larger sale is preferable to installing something that will not last.
Free Measure, No Obligation
The in-home measure costs nothing and commits you to nothing at all afterward. We leave samples overnight so you can see them in your own rooms and light. Seeing a plank at home matters considerably more than most people expect.
Where We Work
We install throughout Brunswick and the Golden Isles, covering roughly 25 miles from the city. That takes in the barrier islands, the coastal mainland, and the rural country beyond both. Two of the areas below sit outside Glynn County and we name their own counties honestly.
Each area page describes the construction, the moisture conditions, and the access constraints there. Those genuinely differ from one another rather than being the same page with different names. Causeway and rural travel are inside the quoted figure rather than added afterward.

Licensing and Insurance
We are licensed & insured to work throughout Georgia, and that coverage applies on every project. Size makes no difference to it and neither does whether anybody asks to see it. We carry it because the alternative is not something we would accept ourselves.
Current certificates are provided before work begins whenever they are requested of us. Island associations, rental managers, and commercial landlords routinely require them in advance. Telling us early means the paperwork never becomes the reason a start date slips.
Licensed & Insured throughout Georgia. Ask for the certificates at any point and we will send them across.
Hours
We work Mon to Thu 8am to 5pm, Fri 8am to 12pm. Every inquiry gets a reply on the working day it reaches us. Anything arriving overnight or at a weekend is answered the next working morning.
Commercial projects and rental turnovers can be scheduled overnight or at weekends where phasing requires it. Island work occasionally runs to a different pattern because of delivery and access windows. Tell us your constraints at the measure and we will plan around them.
